About Jon

My name is Jon Howe, and I’ve spent more than 20 years working in technology. Over that time, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside some incredibly talented engineers at organizations ranging from startups to some of the largest enterprises in the world. Today, I’m a Principal Solutions Architect and lead the Automation and Observability practice at Myriad360, helping organizations solve complex technical and operational challenges.
My background is deeply rooted in infrastructure and enterprise architecture, but much of my work today sits at the intersection of infrastructure, automation, orchestration, observability, and cloud. I work with organizations at every stage of their automation journey, from teams automating their first operational workflows to mature enterprises looking to improve how they build, operate, and observe infrastructure at scale.
I’ve always been a hands-on technologist and still enjoy getting into the details. Python, Ansible, Terraform, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, network automation, infrastructure as code, and the platforms surrounding them are all part of my world. At the same time, a large part of my role is helping technical teams and business leaders connect technology decisions to business outcomes and turn individual projects into sustainable programs.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked across a wide variety of industries and environments, leading teams and projects for both large global enterprises and smaller organizations. I also spend time speaking, writing, experimenting, and sharing what I’ve learned. This blog is a place for that, along with whatever technology I happen to be tinkering with at the time.
